Each room has a maximum capacity, so make sure you arrive on time for the session you really don’t want to miss. You’ll almost always manage to find a seat at one of the sessions. If a room is full, there are always other inspiring discussions you can join.

Yes. Right now, we only send out newsletters in Dutch. However, you can always keep an eye on our Instagram!

A day ticket for one of the festival days gives you access to all the events taking place on that day.

With a festival pass, you can attend all the events on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November.

We’re offering a discount to everyone under 30, whether you’re a student or not. Take a look on our ticket page to find out more.

With a support ticket, you’re giving Brainwash Festival an extra boost. You’re helping us make the festival accessible to those on a tighter budget.

You’re also helping us to continue paying all participants and staff fairly without having to make major concessions at a time when costs are rising (for us too).

On 19 March, you received an email from our ticketing system, CM.com Ticketing Support (YourTicketProvider), with the subject line: Choose your compensation for your Brainwash Festival 2026 purchase. In this email, you can choose to transfer your ticket to the new date, make a donation, or receive a refund.

As well as Dutch makers and thinkers, we also invite international guests. That is why there will be various English-language programmes during the festival. We will be announcing the timetable in September: all English-language programmes will be clearly marked in it.

Yes, every year we make some of our programmes available via a live video stream or as podcasts afterwards. Not all programmes are included, so if you don’t want to miss out, why not come along to the festival?

All the various locations on the Tolhuistuin site are wheelchair accessible:

Pavilion (function rooms & restaurant)

• The restaurant and function rooms in the Pavilion are wheelchair accessible. The IJzaal and the restaurant are partially accessible due to a fixed raised area.
• There is a passenger lift in the Pavilion. A mobility scooter measuring 90 by 145 cm will fit in this lift; unfortunately, larger ones will not. If you enter via Entrance A, at IJpromenade 2, on the ground floor, you will find the lift at the end of the corridor, in front of the stairs on your left.
• There is a disabled toilet available. You can ask one of our staff members to open the door for you.
• At the ticket checkpoint and in the restaurant, please let one of our staff members know if you require additional assistance. They will be happy to help you.

Garden & Garden House

• The Garden is accessible to wheelchair users. The Garden House is also accessible via a wheelchair ramp, and there is a disabled toilet available.

The following applies to all festival programmes: do you use a wheelchair or require additional support? Please let us know in advance via mail@brainwashfestival.nl, and we will reserve a suitable spot and arrange for assistance.
