In 2008 we bailed out the banks. This year, we spent billions of euro’s in Covid-19 support on multinational companies like KLM and Booking. Why is that considered ‘essential’ in our system? And why is the same for workers, unemployed or less fortunate deemed ‘aid’ or ‘a favour’? Why exactly are tax euro’s flooding multinationals’ pockets?
