How do groundbreaking ideas emerge? And above all: where are the seeds sown that allow them to grow? In Brainwash Hindsights, we learn more about the artists, writers, scientists, and philosophers appearing at Brainwash Festival: how were their ideas shaped, and what places play a role in their lives and thinking? Hosts Shula Tas and Vanessa Ackah take the time with them to look both back and forward—offering an open and intimate behind-the-scenes look.

Shula Tas is a presenter, programme maker, and writer. For years, she has greatly enjoyed interviewing speakers at the Brainwash Festival on a wide range of topics. She has created and presented programmes for organisations such as HUMAN, AVROTROS, De Balie, Rode Hoed, and TivoliVredenburg. Since May 2026, she hosts radio programme Opium on NPO Klassiek every Thursday. She is also working on a book of interviews, set to be published by Thomas Rap in the spring of 2027.
