Rachel Rumai Diaz is an all-round word artist who in her work goes in search of the overlap between art and activism. In 2020, she was named by newspaper NRC Handelsblad as one of 101 new cultural talents to watch in the Netherlands and Dutch-speaking Belgium. Her Afro-Latin-American and Caribbean background gives her a broad vision of society, and she is above all interested in projects touching on heritage, identity, intersectional feminism and transcultural art.
