Brainwash is going on a getaway! This year, we’re once again heading to Down The Rabbit Hole with our very own Brainwash Breakfast Club. Do you have a ticket for DTRH? Or are you simply curious about what we have planned? Read on to find out more.
While you’re rubbing the sleep from your eyes, we’ll be tackling life’s big questions. Which forms of resistance are worth your energy these days? What role do sex and intimacy play in your life? And what (radical) measures do you take to stay productive and successful? In short: which values, ideas, and people influence your everyday choices? And what global dilemmas are you grappling with?
At our club, we’ll welcome Kauthar Bouchallikht, Daan Borrel, Jeroen Pen, and many others. Frida Boeke will guide you through the programme, Duraa will provide the music, and we’ll round off the morning with words of wisdom.

solidarity is a verb
Resistance has to start somewhere, from frustration, from conviction, or from solidarity. But how do you relate to others when you’re standing on the barricades together? Together with Roel Meijvis and Kauthar Bouchallikht, we explore what moves us to take action and what keeps us connected. How do you make space for difference while staying true to your own voice? And what do you do when the collective takes a direction that isn’t yours?

sex sells, so come along!
Sex is everywhere — in your feed, in books, and in art. There is growing attention for female and queer desire, sex parties are more popular than ever, and on platforms like OnlyFans and Feeld, swiping for sex has become part of everyday life. Yet we’re also seeing a lack of offline intimacy, a rise in modern prudishness, and the return of a more conservative sexual morality.
Together with Daan Borrel and Aynouk Tan, we explore this paradox. Are we really talking about sex, or are we talking about identity? Are new taboos emerging, or is this so-called “sex recession” actually an opportunity to reimagine what intimacy means?

Better, faster, more attractive and never finished. In a time that promises endless self-improvement, the line between optimizing yourself and losing yourself is razor-thin. Together with Jeroen Pen and Brankele Frank, we explore what happens when the drive to perform takes over your (social) life. When does ambition turn into dependency or addiction? And what happens when we step outside the self-improvement mindset? Are we then “simply” good enough?
